The first impression is that of a certain rusticity with shades of dark varnished wood in the frame and in the subject: a graphic ribbon which unfolds in five false folds and comes out of the support on three of the four sides. The texture of the ribbon, made of earth-colored lines, is reminiscent of that of the wood from which the frame is made and gives the whole a certain unity.
