“Special cutout for a portrait. A profile sandwiched between two dark areas. The beard masterfully painted. This portrait is very reminiscent of the work of Andrew Wyeth. That's a compliment. The same sophistication. The light is painted in an almost lovey-dovey way. An infatuation for light. What does that light do when it touches the surface? Does it strike, does it sparkle? All that is painted in a sublime way.”
