Ai Weiwei

This is the remarkable Chinese artist who makes political statements with his paintings and various installations. I so admire his efforts toward human rights. He has an interesting face too! So I was drawn to paint his portrait, surrounded by examples of his work - - some short quotes and some installations. They are reminders of his amazing insight to reach the hearts of others. This painting has received the Artistic Excellence Award from the Circle Foundation for the Arts in 2023.
