Hello and welcome. My name is Jose Manuel de Oliveira, I was born and live in Portimao, Portugal and I have secondary education, having later completed a professional photography course.
As an artist, I was born with analogue photography, later switching to digital and from there, with image editing software, painting and illustration came naturally.Despite having a background in photography, I consider myself essentially a self-taught person.
Illustration, digital painting and photography are the areas that I like the most and where I am constantly looking for new techniques and different methods to express myself. Hence perhaps the variety of works that I present to you here. My works are like a self-portrait of my soul. Sometimes realistic, sometimes dreamlike or at other times completely abstract. In the last two years I have dedicated myself more to abstract/conceptual painting, although without ever abandoning photography and illustration, which I regularly try to produce some work.
