Born on May 1st, 1972, in the vibrant town of Keram, Iran, Mahan Honarmand embarked on a remarkable journey to pursue his profound passion for art. At the age of 17, fueled by an unwavering determination to explore and express his creativity, Mahan took a courageous leap and migrated to the bustling city of Tehran.
Facing the challenges of limited parental support, Mahan's indomitable spirit led him to independently secure a place at Tehran University. Through resilience and dedication, he navigated the hurdles of his academic journey, emerging triumphant and earning his degree by the tender age of 22.
Thriving in an environment marked by authoritarianism and cultural constraints, Mahan encountered numerous trials and tribulations. Despite the oppressive circumstances, his enduring passion for art served as a guiding light, propelling him forward in his quest for self-expression.
Mahan's vision extended beyond personal fulfillment; he aspired to ignite the flame of childhood creativity in Iranian youth through the medium of art. Undeterred by government scrutiny and potential peril, he founded the Art and Wisdom Art Schools, becoming a beacon of inspiration for those who shared his vision.
For over 22 years, Mahan tenaciously championed the importance of creativity, weathering storms and standing firm on his values. Today, he stands as the Founder and CEO of Henry Visual Art in Ontario, Canada, where he continues his mission to promote artistic values and contribute to the flourishing art community, both in Canada and on the international stage.
