Stay Gold
Over het werk
I was inspired by Robert Frost's (1923) poem :Nothing gold can stay. Nothing Gold Can Stay' explores the idea that nothing good or precious can last forever by using nature and The Garden of Eden as metaphors for cycles of life and death and the loss of innocence.
Also means stay gold for me and many others to continue to be good no matter the situation and always look for the right thing to do in any circumstance … regardless of how hard it may be. Just like life, we have ups and downs. But do not forget to see “gold” in everyday things like the sun rises.
This painting is build up in several layers. First I painted a black road and covered it with bright light colors and added beautiful soft leather craft to express the lovely gold color of the sun. So this painting is a mixed media artwork and consist of acrylic paint and soft leather.
