Over Lee Campbell
Lee Campbell is an experienced British artist who has exhibited her work throughout Europe. Inspired by the beauty of her youth in New Zealand and the atmosphere of her current English home, she composes works that mark a mystical take on reality. Campbell consistently employs oil paints and layers of glaze to perfect her landscapes, and each showcases color and clarity, light and emotion.

Ervaring
Residencies over the last 25 years include Science Labs, Space Research, Port of Southampton, churches, and the Royal Ballet School in London.
My choice of colour is influenced by the snow-fed lakes and rivers of New Zealand, where I spent my childhood in a small Scottish farming community. However, the vibrant turquoise blues of the Pacific Ocean and the golden slopes of the South Island hill country are now infused with the haunting mists of the Thames Riverside where I am currently based. I enjoy working in unusual locations and previous site-specific projects have included Space Research Laboratory, University of Kent, and architecture; both ancient and contemporary. Commissioned by Byrne Bros. Construction I produced a series of work based on the re-fit of the historic Savoy Hotel and the construction of the cloud-piercing Shard. Other residencies have included the National Physical Laboratory, The Royal Ballet School’s Richmond Park site White Lodge, The Port of Southampton and Kingston Grammar School. Also, as a qualified Further Education Art Tutor I have run classes for Tate Britain, Heatherly School of Art and Kingston University. I also teach privately in my studio.
