Funkadelic Virtuoso

Recording as both Parliament and Funkadelic, George Clinton revolutionized popular music during the ‘70s and ‘80s with an avant-garde sensibility that continues today. The painting is inspired by his music and my expression of funkadelic, where style is in free form and flows and loosen up and embraces everyday life vibes. The word of “FUNK” was calligraphed in several languages as the music and art come together to give a different dimension to what we see and feel. I feel the lyrics and rhythm of funkadelic music flowed into this work as different color or shape. The process of this art was very organic, I dreamt about it but not necessarily in the exact shape or form but that was my starting point.
