With Diana Ross's 1980 song titled UpsideDown, we try to "interpret" the arrangement in space of the protagonist of Julia Brinkfrau's canvas, tying it to the initial phase of falling in love, a period in which, at times, we literally feel devoured by butterflies in our stomachs, which make us "squirm" underneath.

In fact, this somewhat playful and daring interpretation is part of the artist's systematic treatment of figurative subjects, focused mainly on investigating the #female figure in her most varied states of mind, capturing her from multiple frames, in order to combine, oftentimes, figurative subjects with abstract and brightly colored backgrounds.,
