Portrait of Nerida

’Portrait of Nerida' is made with acrylic, a bit of spray paint and gesso in multiple wet and dry layers, on a premium Barcelona linen. It is part of my series 'Portrait of a Lady', which is rather figurative and realistic, but still with an abstract touch.

I first made my underpainting in acrylic and Gesso. This to create a perfect, solid texture for the following layers. Then I started working on multiple layers of a combination of thick and thin traits of acrylic. Then finished with a slightly glossy varnish.
