Daybreak Dirt Road

This landscape painting is based on a picture taken nearby Port Hedland - Australia, during daybreak in the early Summer of 2013. A dirt track on the border of the endless Pilbara desert. I first made my underpainting in acrylic and Gesso. This to create a perfect, solid texture for the following layers. Then I started working on multiple layers of a combination of thick and thin traits of acrylic, finished with a slightly glossy varnish.
