The environment is the central motif in Igor Eugen Prokop's work, who is a strong advocate of untouched oceanic flora and fauna. Prokop, who studied art as well as biology and philosophy, incorporates all these influences into his abstract paintings, which are dedicated to nature and man's place in it.

The recurring animal and plant motifs in his paintings, as well as the organic-looking structures that intertwine like a natural mosaic, are to be understood in the context of Prokop's biologically influenced approach to things.
