Over Fadwa Youssuf

I am an artist, therapist, and mother based in the stunning city of Alexandria, Egypt. I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University, where I cultivated a passion for expression through painting.

My work has won several awards, including an award of encouragement at Rotary International’s peace exhibit and a second place award in the Fine Arts College exhibit.

I was also a member in the Voice of America (VOA) Culture Center until 2001, and I shared in many exhibitions in L’Atelier d’Alexandrie.

I resumed my career as an artist after moving to Saudi Arabia, where I participated in the “Against Domestic Violence” exhibit and the “Supporting Her” exhibit as parts of my efforts to empower women in Saudi.

Other exhibits that my works were displayed at include “The House of a Fine Artist“, “A painting in Every House”, “I am Al Quds”, “The Talents”, and “Jenadriyah“ exhibits, which were held in different cities in Saudi Arabia sponsored by organizations such as the Cooperative Society for Training and Consultation Studies.

As I am a firm believer that the bearer of knowledge bears the duty of spreading it, I‘ve also given several courses throughout my career, including a portrait course in the Cultural Literature club in Medinah and an “Oil Painting 101” course in the House of Artists L’Atelier.

After moving back to my homeland, I’ve participated and still actively participate in exhibits hosted by the Ministry of Culture of Egypt, and I hope to share my culture and ideas with the rest of the world.
