Cris Vargas is a visual artist and painting instructor with over 30 years of experience. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidade da Grande Dourados in Brazil and has built a solid career as both an artist and educator.

In Brazil, she developed a distinctive body of work inspired by local culture, particularly in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, where she painted indigenous people and cattle herders. Her art has gained recognition and has been sold to collectors in the United States and Europe.

She was a pioneer in the concept of an "atelier school" in Antônio Prado, where she founded a large studio dedicated to teaching art. Her passion for education has impacted countless students, and her atelier remains active today, carrying on her legacy.

Currently, she lives in the Netherlands, where she runs Canso Brasil, a studio dedicated to painting Brazilian themes and everyday scenes. Through her art, she continues to celebrate her roots and bring Brazilian culture to the world.
