In our village

This is painting of one of the street in the village where I am living with my family. It i s a Belgian village in the Flamish part of the country. Also there is a castle which is situated on this street. The idea of this painting came up after when we had our daily walk with my son, it was in March 2020. The streets were completely emply without people. It was so unusual for me and maybe for everyone of us due to the situation with a lockdown. Normally, you could see some people outside or children who were coming back home after lessons. But it was empty...Only the houses were staying and keeping silence under the early spring sun. But the sun was getting warmer and was bringing a piece of joy on this land after such strange winter. And I could hear how birds were singing as they didn't care about human problem
