Numb thoughts

"Numb thoughts" watercolor on 140 lb paper 11" x 15".
I wanted to paint a face with an empty gaze, someone drained emotionally. Later Mehran wrote a poem inspired by my artwork.
I used this original in my book "My sad is sadder than yours" to illustrate this poem:
Frostbitten soul

for the first time
i was looking for a pain
in my frostbitten soul
to arouse my numb thoughts.
