Wilma van der Lee: painter, sculptor, jeweler
Wilma van der Lee, based in Groede in the Dutch province of Zeelandic Flanders, works across painting, sculpture, and jewelry with a consistent eye for warmth and presence. She takes commissions for portraits in oil, pastel, and charcoal, and pursues her own work in these same materials alongside bronze casting and silver jewelry. Her paintings move between still lifes and figures, often rendered in a direct, unselfconscious style that draws from folk and naive traditions. Whether it's a vase of flowers, a portrait, or a small animal study, her work carries an impressionistic softness and a feeling of quiet intimacy. Van der Lee has exhibited internationally across the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK.
