Thijs van der Leij

Thijs van der Leij studied at HKU in Utrecht and has spent decades developing his artistic practice across studios in Hoevelaken and Huis ter Heide. His work draws from a deep engagement with landscape, appearing in private collections from Germany to the Netherlands. Beyond making art, van der Leij has pursued formal study in art history and is currently undertaking doctoral research. His participation in exhibitions throughout Utrecht and the wider region reflects a commitment to active creative dialogue within the Dutch art community.
