Martine Weber: Nature Through Paint and Poetry
Martine Weber is a self-taught painter from Utrecht who brings together visual art, poetry, and music in her creative practice. After taking painting classes at the Volksuniversiteit, she began working with acrylics and oil pastels in 2023, developing a painterly approach to subjects drawn from nature—woodland scenes, wildflowers, and quiet moments in the landscape. Her work carries the same sensitivity and imagination that flows through her poetry and music, created under the name Sofie Weber. Whether working expressively or with impressionistic touches, Weber finds meaning in the natural world, inviting viewers into forests, gardens, and intimate spaces where color and gesture come together.
