Margriet Pronk: Stories in Paint

19 July 2026

After years working as a teacher and graphic designer, Margriet Pronk decided to paint her own stories. She started in acrylic and now works mostly in oil, creating works that emerge from a journey of exploration rather than planning. For Pronk, painting is a way to step away from everything else—time, space, distraction—and simply discover what appears. She's drawn to people: how they move, how they look, the small gestures that reveal who they are. Her paintings invite you into these quiet moments of observation, where the familiar becomes worth lingering over.
