Margo de Jong captures light in the city
7 September 2026
Margo de Jong, based in Utrecht, is drawn to quiet moments in city life and the way daylight shapes what we see around us. Working in oil paint and mixed media on canvas, she explores how the presence or absence of sunlight changes the rhythm of a place—whether it's a familiar street, a waterside, or the countryside nearby. Her paintings move between different locations and times of day, each one a careful study of how light and shadow transform an ordinary scene into something worth pausing for.
