Emmy Gostelie: Art from Utrecht
Emmy Gostelie was born in Durban, South Africa, and now works from Utrecht. Her practice engages with themes of displacement, survival, and coexistence—returning again and again to the animals and environments caught between human activity and the wild. Over the past decade and a half, her work has been shown across the Netherlands, from Utrecht's Kunstliefde and Gallery Kunst l Werk to venues in Zoetermeer, Heemstede, and beyond. She brings a careful, attentive eye to subjects that might otherwise go unnoticed, creating space to sit with difficult histories and ongoing tensions in how we share the world.
