Writing a post

Share what you are working on. Posts appear on your profile and your website.

Posts are how your page stays alive between uploads. They appear on your profile and on your website.

Making one

  1. Open Posts and click + New post.
  2. Pick a Type: Exhibition, Open studio, New work or News. This decides how it is presented.
  3. Fill in a Title — concrete beats clever. *Solo show at Galerie Ram, Rotterdam* tells someone everything.
  4. Write the Text: what can visitors expect, opening hours, the opening night, which works.
  5. For exhibitions and open studios, set From and Until, and fill in Venue, City and Country.
  6. Add a Link if there is an event page or tickets.
  7. Add a Photo if you have one. Landscape images work best here.
  8. Leave Visible on my profile ticked and click Save post.

What to post

Anything with a date and a place. An exhibition, an open studio day, a new series finished, a prize, a piece in a magazine. Someone who follows you wants to know where they can stand in front of your work.

You do not have to post often. Four times a year with something real beats twelve times with nothing to say.

Editing and hiding

Every post has Edit and Delete. Untick *Visible on my profile* and it stays in your list marked *hidden* — useful for something you are preparing but do not want to announce yet.
