WHITE LIGHT/WHITE HEAT

My paintings are inspired by the "Soak-Stain Technique" of the American artist Helen Frankenthaler. In this technique, the diluted oil or acrylic paint is poured over the canvas. Because the paint is so heavily diluted, it takes on more of the consistency of watercolor and is completely absorbed by the canvas. As a result, the paint becomes pure color and loses its material aspect.
