Exloo, Netherlands
Yolande de Vlugt grew up in Voorburg and studied at HKU before working as a graphic designer. She later turned to autonomous artistic practice, focusing on painting in her studio.
Her abstract realistic paintings explore the relationship between human and natural worlds, often centering on birds as a recurring theme. She works with loose brushwork, clean lines, and warm tones, creating pieces that transform everyday experience into color. Her practice has led to several nominations and exhibitions.
