Early Life & Education
Dimișcă grew up in Piatra‑Neamț and attended the Victor Brauner Fine Arts High School (1991–1995). He continued to the University of Arts and Design in Cluj‑Napoca, where he earned a Licență in painting in 2000, a Master’s degree in painting in 2002, and in 2011 completed a Doctorate in Decorative and Fine Arts, with a thesis titled “Art Brut. Artistic Career
Since the early 2000s, Dimișcă has built an extensive exhibition record nationally and internationally. Dimișcă is President and founder of the Outsider Art Foundation Romania, and since 2002 has been a member of the Romanian Union of Plastic Artists (UAP), Neamț Branch. Social-Inclusive Works & Public Art
Dimișcă is deeply committed to socially engaged art. He has led painting workshops with institutionalized children, collaborated on urban murals with visually impaired participants, and created large-scale public art—most notably, a monumental ambient painting covering 5,000 m² on the Glina wastewater treatment plant near Bucharest—considered one of Romania’s largest industrial art projects descoperanordest.ro.
