Ed Hennekens

Ed Hennekels was born in Enschede in 1962. He studied textile design (TeHaTex) at the Stadsacademie for Applied Arts in Maastricht from 1982 to 1987.

From 1987 to 2019, Hennekels taught art subjects including handicrafts, drawing, visual education, cultural artistic education, and general art at secondary schools in the Netherlands.

His work draws inspiration from Jan Schoonhoven, Victor Vasarely, Yvaral, and Bart van der Leck, as well as from his observations of daily life and the internet.
