
About Arjeta Mala

Arjeta Mala studied graphic design at the Art Academy in Prishtina, Kosovo, graduating in 1987. She later moved to the Netherlands, where she continued to develop as an artist.
Mala works in two distinct styles. She creates realistic portraits, including a portrait of Rembrandt that was selected from thousands of entries and exhibited in the Rijksmuseum in 2017. She also creates modern work on paper with ink, which has been shown in exhibitions throughout the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and Kosovo. In December 2023, she won second prize at the International Drawing Biennale in Ferizaj, Kosovo.
