Anna Gadzalinska

Anna Gadzalińska was born in Poland in 1982 and moved to the Netherlands in 2014, settling in Zwaag. She began painting in childhood and was encouraged at school, but pursued other work for many years. She trained as a hairdresser and ran her own salon, where she developed refined cutting and coloring techniques.

After relocating to the Netherlands, she worked in production roles while learning Dutch. Following a period of illness that affected her ability to work and her wellbeing, she returned to painting. She resumed art classes and began working across multiple media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, dry and oil pastels, pencil, and charcoal. She is drawn to palette knife painting and explores abstract forms, structure, color, emotion, landscapes, and portraits.

Her first exhibition was held at a Polish school in Amsterdam, organized with the support of friends.
