Paula Kuulman: Patient Oil Paintings
20 juli 2026
Paula Kuulman grew up in the Netherlands captivated by Rembrandt, collecting images of his work as a child. Twenty years ago, she decided to learn the Old Masters technique herself, teaching herself to paint in oils on panel. Her practice demands real patience—each painting takes between six months and a year to complete because she loves spending time on the details. Whether painting animals, people, still life, or landscapes, Kuulman brings the same careful attention to every piece. Her work shows what happens when an artist gives herself permission to slow down and really look.
