„We are many“ was specifically created for the women’s month. The whole artwork is made of cardboard emphasizing a re-use of materials and transformation. I intend to rise awareness for violence against women. “We are many” points out that many women have suffered and are still suffering form abuse, violence, rape, discrimination, and all sorts of suppression. However, they are not alone, even though many feel like this. The body posture suggests that these females rise, look up, are self-confident and strong. They are going into the “right” direction, marching together. The composition of colors is cheerful and happy to underline the positivity of change and transformation. The ornaments within the figures symbolize something that is blossoming inside as they are full of life and resources. The small, colorful scattered pieces attached to the background are in triangular shapes symbolizing femininity and the way the thought of emancipation is spread like seeds.
