rik slinger

rik slinger, working from Voorburg in the Netherlands, creates work that finds meaning in everyday landscapes and ordinary moments. Drawing on painting, drawing, and photography, slinger builds a visual language around the places we pass through — maps and tables, gardens and waterways, small incidents and larger systems. The work moves between the domestic and the geographical, between careful observation and quiet abstraction. There's a sense of patience in how slinger approaches these subjects, treating familiar Dutch terrain and domestic scenes as worthy of sustained attention.
