Talks Program Explores Digital Art and Environmental Practice — Sydney Contemporary

Sydney Contemporary's expanded talks program runs across all four days, bringing together more than 30 artists, designers, collectors and creative thinkers. Sessions explore contemporary art, architecture, design, collecting and technology with speakers shaping current practice.

Key conversations include "New Platforms, New Possibilities: Art in the Digital Age" examining how practitioners navigate the evolving digital landscape, and "Then, Now, Next: 10 Years of Sydney Contemporary" considering the next decade of the Australasian art market. "The (Contemporary) Art of Antiques" addresses young collectors driving trends for historical periods, while "Natural Order: Art and the Environment" explores how artists engage with environmental conditions as climate urgency reshapes global consciousness.

Artist Booth Talks offer direct encounters with exhibiting artists, while free guided tours led by art experts explore stories behind artworks throughout Carriageworks.

Dates: 2026-09-03 — 2026-09-06, Sydney
