Sydney Contemporary 2027 returns to Carriageworks in September — Sydney Contemporary
Sydney Contemporary will take place 9–12 September 2027 at Carriageworks in Sydney. The fair brings together leading galleries from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and around the world to present contemporary art across painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics and more.
The fair has established itself as a major fixture on the international art calendar over its first decade, attracting collectors, artists, gallerists, curators and first-time buyers. Applications to exhibit at Sydney Contemporary 2027 will open in late 2026.
Beyond gallery presentations, the fair features large-scale installations, artist talks, panel discussions, guided tours and live performance, transforming Carriageworks into a vibrant cultural hub each September.
