Sixth edition opens with 'For the Time Being' theme — Kochi-Muziris Biennale

The sixth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, titled 'For the Time Being', has announced its participating artists. The edition features a diverse range of contemporary practitioners working across installation, sculpture, performance, film, and textile arts. Notable commissioned works include pieces by Otobong Nkanga, Ibrahim Mahama, Jompet Kuswidananto, and Khageswar Rout, among others.

The biennale maintains its site-responsive, artist-led approach, unfolding across Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. Alongside the main exhibition, the programme includes talks, film screenings, workshops, residencies, and educational initiatives. Special programming features the Students' Biennale, Art By Children Pavilion, The Invitations Programme, and residency opportunities.
