Copenhagen: 88 galleries, a sculpture garden and an inflatable
From 27 to 30 August 2026, Enter Art Fair takes over the Lokomotivværkstedet in Copenhagen — a former locomotive workshop — with 88 international galleries and four days of contemporary art. More than 20,000 visitors are expected.
“I've always believed that art truly comes alive when it becomes part of someone's everyday life. At Enter Art Fair, we create encounters that inspire people to discover, collect and live with contemporary art they genuinely love. >”
The galleries show painting, sculpture, installation, photography and performance, from established names to artists showing abroad for the first time, with new commissions made specifically for the fair.
The Sculpture Garden returns to the grounds around the building, and this year it moves: rather than static objects, the works are activated by performances throughout the fair. Large-scale pieces come from Miles Greenberg (Canada), Nina Saunders (Denmark), Studio ThinkingHand, Wolfgang Flad (Germany) and Johanne Rude Lindegaard (Denmark). Among them stands Anthropic, a monumental inflatable installation presented by other circle.
One highlight to plan around: a neon-lit melodrama by Marie Kølbæk Iversen, Ida Marie Hede and Katinka Fogh Vindelev, performed with opera singers Kirsten Voss and Nina Brewer, about the sea and our relationship with the water around Copenhagen Harbour. The collective Sisters Hope turns part of the garden into an immersive environment built on ritual and participation.
The talks programme runs across all four days, with a conversation on Sonja Ferlov Mancoba's legacy, a collector conversation curated by Jens-Peter Brask, Andy Warhol seen through photographer David McCabe, and a discussion on the role of art in times of crisis.
The 2026 edition also marks the appointment of Sofie Dirks Gottlieb as Head Art Advisor.
Practical: Lokomotivværkstedet, Otto Busses Vej 5A, Copenhagen. 27–30 August 2026.
