10th Edition Celebrates with City-Wide Installations — Sydney Contemporary

Sydney Contemporary marks its 10th edition from 3–6 September 2026 at Carriageworks, bringing together over 100 galleries from nine countries and 500 artists. For this milestone, the fair extends beyond the venue with new public art installations supported by Destination NSW.
Reko Rennie presents work at Sydney Fish Market exploring Aboriginal culture and identity through geometric patterning and urban iconography, free to visit until 13 September. At Pier Pavilion in Barangaroo, Joan Ross transforms the space with animated worlds reframing Australian colonial history, free to visit until 6 September.
Inside Carriageworks, 14 large-scale installations are curated by José Da Silva, Director of UNSW Galleries. The fair has grown significantly since 2013, welcoming 250,000 visitors across nine editions and generating over $100 million in art sales.
Dates: 2026-09-03 — 2026-09-06, Sydney
