Panorama Mesdag

A 360-degree painting from 1881 that still fools your eyes completely.

Fourteen metres high and 120 metres around, showing the sea at Scheveningen as it looked in 1881. You climb a dune of real sand into the middle of it, and the join between painting and reality genuinely disappears.
