Your spotlight

A longer feature about you and your work.

A written feature about you and your work on Online Gallery — an article rather than an advertisement.

Requesting one

  1. Open Spotlight.
  2. Pick the works you want it built around. The first work you pick becomes the cover, so lead with the one that stops people.
  3. Send the request. We write it and let you know when it is live.

Choosing the works

Pick a run that hangs together rather than your five most different pieces. A spotlight is read from top to bottom, and works that talk to each other make a story; works that have nothing in common make a list.

Make sure the photos are good before you request it. We can write around a weak image but we cannot fix it, and the cover is the first thing anyone sees.

Spotlight or Promote?

Different things for different moments.

  • Spotlight is a piece about you, on our site, that keeps working for years and turns up when someone searches your name.
  • Promote is paid advertising that works while you pay for it and stops when you stop.

A spotlight is usually worth doing first: it gives an advertisement somewhere worth landing.
