Bluring Lines

This piece is all about intimacy, not in a detailed or literal sense, but in an emotional, almost tactile way. It’s a close-up, abstract view of two figures embracing. I used warm, earthy tones mostly muted oranges, red-oranges, and browns — to give the whole painting a sense of softness and quiet connection. The figures aren’t drawn with clear outlines. Instead, I used broad, textured brushstrokes to let their forms melt into one another. Their arms and hands overlap, their heads rest close but nothing is sharply defined. I wasn’t interested in anatomical accuracy here; I wanted the viewer to feel the warmth between them, not measure it. There’s a central area in the painting where the figures’ hands meet, I blended lighter tones of orange and soft light around that point. It’s subtle, but it’s the emotional heart of the piece. That moment of contact, even though it’s abstract, feels like something sacred, like they’re not just touching each other, but maybe something shared or understood between them. The lighting is very diffused, with no harsh contrast — just this soft, glowing warmth that wraps around everything. I wanted it to feel peaceful, a little dreamy, and deeply human. It’s a quiet painting, but to me, it holds a lot, closeness, care, maybe even healing.
