"From the Deep, Seeing the Sun"

Inspired by the sea. Underwater, looking up towards the sunlight filtering down. Nitro Paints on a sheet of acrylic. Realized using A technique invented following a winter illness of a strong bronchitis in which I had to pass hours taking intravenous antibiotics morning and evening – I realized I could adapt the tube and needle principle to trail thick liquid color. The colors are built up in thickness layer over layer then sanded back to reveal the stratification, just as in cutting and polishing a metamorphic marble such as Travertine.
