Shitters.

“Shitters” is a quasi-religious image of people sitting on lavatories, presumably defaecating, but displaying the haloes about their heads redolent of medieval and renaissance images of saints. The juxtaposition of the saintly and the corporeal/base made me laugh, and came to me when I was sitting on the toilet, looking at the artworks in my bathroom and wondering at this strange juxtaposition - humans as both animal and ethereal beings. So I thought it would make a nice print!
