Great shoot at Kobald Piano's. Picture is a fortepiano in the making. Theo Kobald was born in Canada. After attending a cabinetmaker training in Vancouver, he settled in the Netherlands in 1986 and started the piano restoration company 'Gebroeders Kobald' with his brother Paul. The many instruments from various time periods that they worked on stimulated their interest in the sound and construction of historical instruments, which led them to decide to start building fortepianos in addition to restoring pianos and grand pianos.
