When I make pop art, I try to saturate the picture with some kind of additional meaning. Sometimes I get patriarchal symbolism instead of pop art. In this case, no additional meanings are required. The object of the research is so familiar to everyone that it does not need to be presented separately. That in itself is already a meaning. It is already a ready-made metaphor. The symbol of Britain, which has passed through the century. But nothing is eternal in this world. Phone booths, even such legendary ones, are gradually disappearing from the streets of British cities. So I drew one. As a memento. And do you know what these graceful and so sturdy boxes are made of? I had no idea they were made of cast iron.
