The former Ceres pumping station on the Veerdijk in Wormer on the river Zaan has architectural-historical significance as a good example of a polder pumping station of its type, built in 1878. The pumping station had a high chimney that was demolished in 1919. A memorial stone has been placed in the wall with the text: 'De eerste steen op dit gebouw werd op 2 mei 1878 gelegd door H. Stant. 78 jaar. 1e Dijkgraaf van het Heemraadschap Wormer, Jisp en Nek. '
