This painting is a view through the door of the old post office on Coolsingel in Rotterdam. It is now being completely renovated. On top of the monumental building, there will be a residential tower of 150 meters, and there will also be restaurants, cafés, shops, and a hotel. Bert visited the old post office on one of the last days it was open to the public in June 2019. In the painting, a lady can be seen waiting for the mail.
