In this work, a fragment of a child’s drawing appears embedded within a narrow vertical structure that resembles an opening or a column within the surface. What begins as a spontaneous and unregulated gesture becomes partially trapped inside the painting’s architecture. Layers of paint, erosion, and gravity gradually obscure the initial mark, transforming it from an act into a trace. The descending washes of color suggest the slow exhaustion of energy, as if the gesture is dissolving into the surface that now contains it. The painting captures the moment when instinctive expression enters a system and becomes a recorded residue rather than a living movement.
