Pressure Field

This work presents the surface as a zone of compression where fragments of children’s drawings remain visible but no longer function as complete images. Suspended within a dense field of blue, red, and violet, these remnants appear trapped between emergence and disappearance. The painting’s vertical drips and layered washes create the impression that the surface is actively absorbing and reorganizing the initial gesture. What once existed as playful and autonomous drawing becomes fragmented, buried, and transformed into evidence of a system at work. Rather than preserving the original image, the painting records the pressure placed upon it. Medium: Mixed media on biazi canvas
