Painting of the Brazilian politician and activist Marielle Franco who was murdered in 2018. Marielle Francisco da Silva, known as Marielle Franco, was a Brazilian politician, sociologist, feminist, and human rights activist. This painting is one of a series of 6 portraits in memory of brave people who have fought for LGBTI rights, each in their own way. This series is still in development. 2 of the 6 paintings (in the different rainbow colors) are not yet finished. Half of the proceeds will be donated to ILGA. ILGA (International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association) is an international organization that advocates for equal rights for lesbian women, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people, and intersex individuals; and against homophobia and transphobia.
