"Why did you abandon me?" watercolor on 140 lb paper 13" x 9". After reading Susannah's poem I got inspired to paint this artwork. I used this original in the book "My sad is sadder than yours" to illustrate this poem: Why did you abandon me? meaningless questions that lead us nowhere when there are hidden wounds beneath my skin this broken record will remain on repeat until I heal the inner child within. asking you why you abandoned me is a futile search for the truth the only question I should be asking is when will I end this emotive loop?
